HAVE SMARTPHONES DESTROYED A GENERATION?

Dr. John H. Some interesting statistics are presented in her research on the IGen Generation. Some positive statistics include lower teenage pregnancy, less rebelliousness, and less alcohol abuse. Some negative statistics include higher suicide rate, social isolation, insufficient sleep, and cyber bullying. While they are not true for all Gen Xers, Professor Twenge gives a picture of an emerging generation of persons in our country. Dr. Braccio offers some examples of some Gen Xers characteristics he has observed. As with all generations the Gen Xers are a unique and exciting group of people to enjoy as they develop their unique characteristics and become contributing adults in the never ending human changes that occur in the United States and around the world.
