  1. Prepare for the test.
  2. Visualize yourself successful.
  3. Positive self-talk.
  4. Be well rested and nourished.
  5. Stay relaxed and breathe in and out.
  6. Put the test in perspective.
  7. Replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts.
  8. Arrive at test at a time comfortable for you.
  9. Determine how much time you can spend on each test item.
  10. Tune out other persons and distractions, and focus on the test.
  11. Answer the easiest test items first and then go back to the more difficult items.
  12. Do not panic and keep to your testing plan.
  13. Develop self-hypnosis and deep relaxation techniques to help you prepare for testing.
  14. Thirty second deep breathing periods when anxious during tests can be helpful when needed.
