Dr. John H. Braccio talks with Dave Akerly on the “Morning Wake-Up With Dave Akerly” Radio Show, on 1/17/17 on WILS, 1320 a.m.in Lansing, Michigan about HOW PARENTS CAN HELP THEIR CHILDREN NOT silifke escort numaraları LIE. In a confusing contemporary world with so much pressure on our children to think in certain ways, parents have a tough time staying on the same page as their children. Add to that, the guilt children can feel for not doing what their parents want makes things even more dicey. Excessive punishments can lead to choosing to lie in a percentage game of getting caught or not. Parents need to model honesty in an open manner so the children understand the importance of telling the truth. Children, as adults, need to understand persons who lie demonstrate a person who cannot be trusted and this will predictably destroy or greatly damage any relationship with people now or in the future. Praising honesty can be a good motivation to have it become part of their personality. Reasonable punishments for lying will help decrease them while severe punishment can lead to more lying to avoid it in a self-defeating circle of deception.
