IS A COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY DEGREE THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR MOST EVERYONE?

Dr. John H. Braccio talks with Dave Akerly of WILS on the “Morning Wake-Up With Dave Akerly” Radio Show, on 6/13/17 on WILS, 1320 a.m. in Lansing, Michigan talk about IS A COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY DEGREE THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR MOST EVERYONE?   I contend it is not unless the following standards are met: MARKETABLE-MINIMAL DEBT VERSUS INCOME PAYOFF-PRESTIGE OF SCHOOL AND POSSIBLE FINANCIAL PAYOUT-PERSONAL SATISFACTION VERSUS PAYING YOUR BILLS POTENTIAL-CLEAR DISTINCTION BETWEEN AN AVOCATION AND LIFE-SUPPORTING VOCATION.These are good standards to use in today’s world where employers anamur eskort bayan complain there are not enough skilled trades workers or professionally trained college graduates for available jobs. I believe it is a mess. I regularly work with students or persons with college/university degrees who cannot get good jobs. Sadly, Shakespeare was correct when Cassius said to Brutus as he could to millions of college/university students today who cannot find good jobs with their degrees: MEN AT SOME TIME ARE MASTERS OF THEIR FATES; THE FAULT, DEAR BRUTUS,IS NOT IN OUR STARS,BUT IN OURSELVES,THAT WE ARE UNDERLINGS. Students, parents, high school counselors, college/university/vocational staff need to work as a team to best help the next generation succeed and not owe more a month on school debt than a house mortgage.
